I began competing in track and field at an early age. In my 15 year career, I ran a variety of events but focused primarily on sprinting. In college, my training not only consisted of running, but also contained a predominant lifting routine. It became evident what an impact lifting had on my athletic career. I also coached several summer track and fitness programs through my college tenure. In college, I had the privilege of working with kids and teens of all ages and enjoyed watching their progress. After graduating and moving to the DC area I was looking for a workout program as demanding as my college training. I started CrossFit over three years ago and was instantly hooked. By coaching CrossFit Kids and CrossFit Teens, I hope to instill the importance of fitness, a healthy lifestyle, while having fun, into others as athletics did for me.
