30 minute class
The ultimate goal of Crossfit Kids is to be safe and have fun while exercising. Kids classes teach not only basic physical skills, but also social skills and confidence. Children learn foundation movements like the squat, pushups, pull ups, climbing, jumping, and elementary gymnastic movements. Every class includes fitness games and positive reinforcement.
45 minute class
Skills taught in Crossfit Preteens are more detailed and focus on fitness improvement. Exercises will include plyometrics, gymnastics, weight lifting basics with light weights, running, rowing, and stretching.
Classes also teach Crossfit terminology, familiarity of equipment, and how to self-monitor the body during exercise. We aim to have preteens actively participate in ensuring their safety in the gym while we continue to monitor them. Preteens classes may end with a game or other fun activity.
60 minute class
The teens program moves to the next level of training as they focus on the traditional CrossFit movements. Teens will continue to learn the basic physical skills, including strength, cardiovascular conditioning, agility, coordination, and balance.
Workouts for teens are of higher intensity than the kids and preteens classes. The overall emphasis is still on safety and proper form as teens track weights and monitor their own progress.
